Which Caribbean fits your family?
Eastern Caribbean
St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and the private islands. The calmest water and the shortest hops between ports. Easy port days with nothing to book ahead. This is the one I steer first timers toward.
Western Caribbean
Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatán, Belize and Grand Cayman. Mayan ruins and snorkeling people talk about for years. It sails year-round.
Southern Caribbean
Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados and the Grenadines. Longer sailings and fewer crowds. It sits largely outside the hurricane belt, which is why it shines in late summer.
